About Young Stars
est. 2011
Created by Actor/Comedian Kenan Thompson and Executive Producer Cherie Chiles-Buchanan who teamed up to help parents, managers, and Young Stars get to the next level in the entertainment industry. The year after creating the adult contest, Kenan and Cherie decided to also help Young Stars. Since then our team has been instrumental in developing and discovering young talent that has been on tv shows, movies, and tours! Our young journalists have interviewed celebrities, execs and entrepreneurs across the country. We provide platforms for kids and teens-from Rising Stars to Superstars. Some of your favorite Celebs are part of our network.
The Talent Show
This is a huge opportunity for Young Stars ages 5-17 to Showcase their talent to the world with our in-person talent shows or on our online showcase.
The selected Young Stars will then showcase their talents on stage in the Big, Bright lights on Broadway in NYC. Come out to a talent show in a city near you and support the most talented Young Stars as they go after the opportunity of a lifetime.
Talent Show Rounds
FIRST ROUND | City Talent Show
- Each of the 35+ major cities will have one talent show.
- The Young Stars will have the stage for 4-5 min to prove who‘s ready to take it to the top!
- The winner will receive a spot in the semi-finals to represent their home city in the state-wide contest.
SEMI-FINALS | State Talent Show
- Each of the US states will have a semi-final round to find the nest Young Star.
- The winner will receive a spot at the finals in NYC to represent their home state in the national Finale.
FINALE | New York City Talent Show
- The winners from the state level semi-finals will compete against the other top Young Stars to be watched by industry scouts and producers that are looking to cast Young Stars in new projects… Plus other amazing prizes from Kenan Thompson.

For a good Cause
A portion of the proceeds from the Ultimate Comedy Experience will go to the Cristian Rivera Foundation, a non-profit organization that works to find a cure for Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), a rare pediatric brain tumor that claims the lives of 200-300 children a year. Come out and support rising comedians while helping a great cause!

Our talent shows will go to over 35 cities all across America
We have chosen the best venues in the country to host these LIVE events
All of these events will have have tickets for sale and full house of audience members
How to win
Impress the Celebrity Judges in the LIVE audience
Be the best Young Star on the show, because the LIVE audience will be voting at the end of each show
Another chance to win is have 4-5 minute set that the online voters choose as the best Young Star
